While we’re big fans of bikepacking, we know how expensive good gear can be.
We’ve been lucky to build this shared library of camping equipment, zines, bike bags, cookware, and even bikes with the help of many generous contributors, including Long Alley Bicycles and MEC.
The gear library is totally free. Anyone in the TMC community (as long as you’ve attended at least one TMC event and signed a waiver) is encouraged to borrow items, whether for bike trips, camping adventures, beach trips or anything else you need them for!

If all the fine print sounds good you can Create an Account, set up a Username and Password, and review and sign the Borrowing Policy.
Check out our inventory and reserve items from the TMC Gear Library. You’ll receive a confirmation of your booking from us within 48 hours.
Pick up your items at our pickup location in North Dartmouth. It’s Nicola’s home, so we’ll share the address with you once you’ve submitted your request.

Return your cleaned* items back to us by the end of the borrowing period. Pickup times are designated on our MyTurn site but you can drop items back in the lockbox anytime!

Donations allow us to make the library bigger and better. If you have extra gear that isn't in use, get in touch at themonthlycycle.ca with a description of the item, photos, and its condition, and we’ll get back to you. Items must be gently-used, in good condition and cleaned before donating.
They’re not necessary or expected, but we also accept cash donations that will go directly back to the maintenance and expansion and hosting fees of the Gear Library - those can be left in the lockable drop box when you pick up or drop off gear. Oh, and thank you. <3
